We know you’ve always wanted to know what Chris Powell is afraid of or whether Jenn Eardley is a “dog person.” With our BEST Blog series “Meet the Co-Founders,” you’ll get the chance. This teamed joined together back in 2013 to bring the Be Your BEST Foundation into being. You can learn a little more on our BEST Blog Series “Meet the Co-Founders.” Now it’s time to see how they got here. We introduced Heidi Powell in our last post, and now we bring you “The Dreamer,” Chris Powell.
Chris, what does BEST mean to you?
BEST is the safe place to go for transformation, to learn how to take the steps to change your life forever, and to meet new friends that will join and encourage you on your journey. It is the opportunity for everyone who desires change for a better life.
How did you get started in this industry?
Being the smallest kid in school growing up, exercise changed my life and gave me confidence. I trained throughout high school, and went on to pursue a degree in exercise science from Arizona State University. Because this early journey of transformation made such a huge impact in my life, I have always been passionate about helping others create their destiny through challenging themselves. However, I will always be a perpetual student. I learn something new about transformation every day!
Was there a person/event that “Sparked” your passion for helping others and giving back?
The first extreme weight loss client I ever worked with, David Smith, completely opened my eyes to a whole new world of helping others achieve their transformation goals. Over the course of his journey together, we became great friends. He lost just over 400 lbs in two years and opened my eyes to the nature of food addiction.
What is one thing you would like current and would-be BESTies to know?
This is your life and your journey. You get to choose whether you win or lose in the end. If you want it, we’ll show you how to win. We will show you a path to a happier and healthier life!
What is your WHY?
Our family, our name, and our purpose.
